LGI’s Civil/Structural engineers and forensic architects, all with backgrounds in construction-related services, investigate and opine on construction accidents, construction defects, construction delays, construction injuries (New York State Labor Law issues), architectural consulting, construction disputes, vibration claims, standard of care for contractors, building & safety codes, OSHA related issues, building envelope and façade analysis, and construction product failures.

Fire & Explosion Services

LGI’s electrical, mechanical, and structural engineers assist independent fire investigators in the investigation of electrical and mechanical related fires and explosions. LGI’s fire analysts also can opine on fire suppression, fire protection engineering, fire spread, and vehicle & vessel fire analysis. All LGI experts handling these cases are required by ownership to have the Certified Fire & Explosion Investigator (CFEI) designation. 

Litigation Services

All LGI professional experts and engineers can assist their clients with litigated files.  They provide investigations and reports for their clients and then can also write affidavits regarding the case, be deposed by opposing counsel, and testify in court regarding their professional opinions in the case.  This includes case reviews, review of opposing expert reports, demonstrative evidence, discovery requests, scientific research and simulations and mock-ups.

Environmental Services

Some of LGI’s engineers are able to assist with the investigation of residential and commercial issues including mold investigations, HazMat incidents, underground storage tanks, and indoor air quality/sick building syndrome.

Our laboratory technicians and engineers analyze failures, perform critical testing, and conduct research to help uncover the cause and origin of failures.
